DHE and all the others appear to be written in 32 bit code, which may limit you to 3gig of ram. Page number limit is most likely to be at least 999 or more. DHE and others use master pages and changeble globel setting. The whole site must be loaded to function. So the bottom line is going to be when you exceed the usable memory with the programs and files that are open, functions are going to slow down accessing the HD. (Same in all the CAD Design softwares, it's not the number of models, assemblies and drawings that are open, but the file sizes.) Maybe a solid state HD could handle the paging after all the memory is used. Uploading in one shot to your host is another possible problem.
Mr. Lorenzi, you being an expert and the foundation of DHE, would you be so kind to give your suggestions on large website management, when you have time. And of course anyone else who has experience in this area, please comment.
If anyone has a large website created in DHE (200-300 +pages) and wouldn't mind us taking a look, please post a link.
(Great weather here in the Great Lakes region, high 70's, low 50's F.)
Good Day! Donald |

Donald,
my sites are not so big (about 100 pages) but I know there are users with many more. There are no limits for the page size (width and height can be theorically infinite) and for the number of files into a project (obviously the program will load the project slowly) |

Thank you for the info here and the other reply. It would appear that DHE is as good or better in some cases as the other programs handling large websites. Not having a page in memory until you open it is a bonus.
Thanks a lot! Donald |

Managing a large website. You can, have any number of folders/subfolders to store your web pages in except for the master page and/or home/index page? And that you can see, access and manage all of your folders and pages in the project task pane (folder/page tree) as in windows explorer?
When someone has time. Thanks Donald |
