I need to create a link to a pdf file so that the user can read the pdf. When I try to use the link wizzard to select a file on my computer, the program tells me it is going to add it to the project, it fails. How do I add a pdf file to the project manually. Thanks Jerry
I found that if I just placed the pdf in the same folder as the project that worked. I created my link with the label text option, but that gives me no link in the properties, I then tried the label graphical and was able to add text, it looked fine in the preview but no text appeard when I uploaded the file to the server. How do I get a link to call my pdf. Thanks Jerry
Please give us some links so we can check. If you need to add a link to a standard (text) label, just select a piece of text and in the Label Editor menu choose "Link" The process you did is right, just be sure to use the "Publish Project" window to upload files on your web server or you may miss something.
Probably to late for your problem Jerry but I just had one with a link to a pdf file. So I finally fix it when I realize that my FTP software was on automatic mode to upload the file. I change it to binary and everything is fix now, the pdf file look good. Hope it could help others
