Hello Davide,
- Does DHE always makes a CSS-file for every page? - Wouldn't it be nice if it was a CSS-file per project. - Wouldn't it even be nicer to be able to re-use stuff from that one CSS-file?

I was wondering about this myself. Especially that there's 1 for every page always seemd a bit odd to me. |

Would this also address the question of why the static files (blank.gif, dhwe3x.js, etc.) are uploaded every time? |

blank.gif are a spacer image and it is needed by many D.H.E. objects dhwe3x.js is created when one choose an external js file. This file is always exported because I can make changes on it so it's better to upload it every time |

I forgot to thank you for the latest release--Thanks! but it was disappointing to see no ability to link css files has been included. ---I thought it was a simple thing? Has something changed ?--is it more difficult to impliment than previoussly thought? Is it still on the list?? quote: Using the new version of the project manager I'll be able to make such as thing in very few time (I hope]
I see this in the NEW readme.txt
New versions features (NOT YET RELEASED): - Dynamic Multi-Level menu editor - Better Table support - Image Gallery tool - Mini Blog editor
nothing about the css thing[2 ?:-|] Thanks

Image Gallery tool Mini Blog editor
I'm looking forward to these items. Don't have a clue what it will do but it sounds promising.

It is a minor feature, but pretty essential for people who want to create webpages/templates with DHE and manage them with a CMS.
There are a whole lot of people using cms's today, and creating the template is the first thing to do unless you plan on using someone elses or the default. One look at the source code will frighten most would be users away.. The first thing you have to do, after making a template with DHE, is manage to put all the css into one file and link to it.
DHE would be the ideal termplate tool[boost sales] if and when linking to the css happens. As it is it is way too much work.I looked at it and decided to wait till this release--hence the disappointment
There is editwrx and the like, but they cannot do as much as most free cms's
No hurry to impliment it now,I hope it does come sometime soon though..I will probably get Editwrx later on today. It will have to suffice. I have been putting it off till this latest release due to cost. The trouble with editwrx is it does not install so easy on every computer[like mine][2 ?:-|]
Mine is no emergency--Just some websites for famly menmbers..I am not a professional by any means..
BTW--can DHE be run off a usb flash drive? If not can it be made to, without giving your wonderful product away I mean? Thanks |

Yes, Dynamic HTML Editor 4.x is portable; just put the installation folder into an USB key and enjoy. You'll need to register it in every PC you use. |
