I suggest you to try to connect to geocities using a REAL FTP program so it can report better error codes than Dynamic HTML Editor.
You can for example use Cute FTP or Total Commander

Use the ftphost...."ftp.geocities.com"....then your username and password.

I tried that but it didn't work.

Thanks,
Gord

When you say "I tried that but it didn't work".....what were the results when you attempted that....and what ftp client are you using?

I've also been unable to upload to Geocities. But now I've worked it out. I think the problem was I misunderstood what the start page on the remote host setting referred to. I emptied that box, double checked the other ftp settings, and it all worked (except the transfer of a png32.htc file, but its failure doesn't seem to effect the site functioning.)

Have you tried to contact Geocities for FTP upload settings?
Maybe you have to set also the "starting folder" but this varies from provider to provider

Hi Davide,

You can get a free acct. at Yahoo Italy by logging on at www.yahoo.it

You can get a free email acct. by following the instructions. It will also get you a free website at say hexagora.geocities.com.

Gord

Hello Toas,

let me know how I can create my own account to geocities so I can try to discover the problem that Dynamic HTML Editor has when uploading pages to it...
