Posted - 27 Mar 2004 : 15:25:06 Hello....
My problem is; I create an image (one page) with Corel photopaint then I export for web editor, so the big images sliced to many parts and the output is html file (named bench.html). Then I open Dynamic HTML Editor, re-arrange all the slicing images into Dynamic HTML Editor workspace and works all very very well, I edit the page with Dynamic HTML Editor too, adding link, adding images etc, then I export to html format, so Dynamic HTML Editor save all the images, css and js into folder called 'files', until here everything works perfect! Even I upload to internet with a very good result. At the end I save the project, named bench.dhe.
Now I use bench.dhe as a template to create another project, adding links, changing pictures etc and name it 'bench02.dhe' then I export to html format, the result is Dynamic HTML Editor re-save all the images (in this case, is a template images that are same with bench.dhe) into another name that are different with bench.dhe before, even the images is same. Eg; in bench.dhe, the 001.jpg saved with bench_picture1.jpg but in bench02.dhe, the 001.jpg saved again with bench02_picture1.jpg, amazingly the 001.jpg is exactly same. And it's happen with bench03.dhe etc....
My question is, how to make Dynamic HTML Editor know that 001.jpg is a template for all pages? So when I upload my project I don't need to upload every same images with the different name? Oh my God, I already create 42 pages and just realize when I saw a 'files' folder full of same images.......
Please help......sorry I post too long.....my respect to this program!

If you want to force a specific file name for your image you have to put a filename into the box "Export Name" propertie of picture object; note that you can copy from id by pressing the red small button :-)

Have a look at the samples that came with Dynamic HTML Editor -- specifically "importing objects". Its quite self-exlanatory so I won't rehearse is here. Given what you're already doing, I'm sure you'll find it quite simple and intuitive.
