I have a master page setup with a single pageplaceholder that displays the content of my individual pages (about us, location, etc.).

I'd like to have the pageplaceholder page's background transparent as to show the background of the master page in that area. Right now the subpage's background is plain white which doesn't look natural to the page as a whole.

Yes, the page placeholder doesn't have a background so the problem should be on another object ;-)

Figures. I struggle 1 hour with this only to find the answer the second after I post the question.

Answer: On the Master Page, set the Background of the PageLayer Object to transparent.

Seems so simple once you find it!
