Hi Davide... the PayPal code needs a line for "notify_url" for those of us using IPN...

In the latest, latest version, the "Check for Updates" feature should work ;-)
rmmarsh Posted - 11 Mar 2008 : 14:14:24
Just downloaded the latest version and there it is! (Couldn't, and still can't, check for new version from the program, so I didn't know).

Thank you...
rmmarsh Posted - 11 Mar 2008 : 14:03:41
Yes, I have... I see "Successful", "Cancel" and "Continue"... nothing about IPN Validation URL... did you put it in a new version?
s.dav Posted - 11 Mar 2008 : 08:56:11
What??????????????
Have you looked the "General" tab of the PayPal object?
rmmarsh Posted - 10 Mar 2008 : 18:05:05
Davide: what happened to my original request for a "notify_url" for IPN validation?
s.dav Posted - 08 Mar 2008 : 13:56:44
:-( yes it doesn't work anymore... I'll fix it asap!
richinri Posted - 08 Mar 2008 : 10:42:40
I noticed the last 2 versions had this problem.

s.dav Posted - 06 Mar 2008 : 20:05:24
Just released version 4.1 with PP button encryption ;-)
s.dav Posted - 25 Feb 2008 : 09:13:56
I'll study how to encrypt paypal buttons ;-)
richinri Posted - 23 Feb 2008 : 22:14:11
Davide - did you mean it is no problem with adding encryption to the buttons or why the encryption? If there is no problem adding it - you have had several hours now to do it and it isn't done. hahaha
Yes, according to paypal, all information for the buttons should be encrypted now to avoid people that change or steal form data that is too easily viewable. Paypal now wants all their buttons encrypted and most of my clients now demand it. Every program that allows you to program paypal without having access to client accounts now offer encryption.
It certainly isn't foolproof - but it helps.
Thanks for all your hard work.

rmmarsh Posted - 23 Feb 2008 : 01:18:27
There is nothing transmitted other than the IPN module address, which could be a problem if a hacker got into it...
s.dav Posted - 22 Feb 2008 : 08:58:45
Never thought on this point... But what can be the problems?
richinri Posted - 22 Feb 2008 : 06:26:39
Davide, I don't know if this would be easy to implement or not but I wonder if you have thought of having the paypal button code encrypted? Paypal is now recommending that all buttons for paypal be encrypted for a variety of reasons. I am not complaining - just wondering what your thoughts were on the issue.
richinri Posted - 21 Feb 2008 : 01:53:33
I think the paypal functions also meet a very serious need for web developers. Not every client is willing to give you their paypal access codes for you to code a button on their page. The paypal functions allow you to design a cart or whatever for a client without having to have access to the clients paypal account.
Trust me - it is better to keep it that way. It was good thinking on Davide's part to put it in as a development tool.
rmmarsh Posted - 20 Feb 2008 : 00:39:44
It doesn't make any difference how many email addresses I have listed with PayPal... what matters is whether or not I want a particular site to have PayPal with IPN or not... a global setting is not feasable if I have more than one site and I don't want each site to have PayPal with IPN...

Do you want IPN on all sites? How many sites? How many email addresses do you have listed with PayPal?

To answer Davide's question... yes it should be a standard link like the last one...
jtarin Posted - 19 Feb 2008 : 14:20:19
I'm somewhat surprised by all this PayPal functionality, as this configuring is available on the PayPal site. A few moments onsite and you have the code for your requirements.
s.dav Posted - 19 Feb 2008 : 09:44:25
Should this be a standard link like the last added one?
msfluffymuffin Posted - 18 Feb 2008 : 23:16:18
I think rmmarsh means Instant Payment Notification
