Posted - 27 Aug 2007 : 01:28:55 Please help. I am using D.H.E. unregistered with the intent to pay up and use it regularly. The site I am building can be brought up in my browser to check functionality. My question is this. I built the site with my browser resolution at 1020x768. If I set resolution at 800x600, the site will not fit the screen without bottom scrolling a lot. Does changing it to HTML solve this problem? If not how can it be fixed within D.H.E.? This is a major problem. It there is a solution, I WILL purchase it. THANKS IN ADVANCE Skyborn |

Posted - 28 Aug 2007 : 07:52:34 I design in US and I can say that all designers are now switching to designing for 1024x768. You will know why if you view a 800x600 site on the newer wide monitors. They look ridiculous. Some people use javascript to switch resolutions or style sheets to change websites. But this has NOTHING to do with D.H.E. and every thing to do with your knowledge level of internet programming. A 1024x768 site will need to be scrolled on 800x600 and 800x600 will have big blank spaces on 1024x768. |

Posted - 27 Aug 2007 : 08:42:03 Sorry, when you design a site you should consider first the resolution of your potential users. Personally I design sites with 800 pixels width, height is not important for me, then I centre every page of the site. This is a common problem, not only yours. |
