When I create a form and add text fields with no style, some fields on the form appear with a pale yellow backgropund color..
I want to be able to define which fields are manditory with that pale color where is this comming from.
Thanks Jerry

You may find the colour comes from the Google toolbar auto fill.

Go to Google Toolbar in browser -> settings and uncheck autofill.

Can't control what your end user see though!!!

This is caused by the names you give the fields!!
Don't use "name', Telephone' etc.

If you need to assign a background color to an input field you have to create a custom style then add this to the control using the "Style Class" property

HMMM--I guess I don't understand--sorry---there is a backround color tool in the properties for the standard label though...---look for fill in the properties if it is gr label--I don't even know if you can use a gr label in a form--I made only one simple form ever..

quote:
there are more default colors in the editor where you add the text to the labels..

The default colors in the text editor are for the actual editor itself so you can see text if the backround is a similar color--sorry

I can't imagine your answer is not in the form tutorial...

I guess I amy not making my self clear the objects I'm speaking of are input text boxes..
I have a laid a form on my page and have added labels and input text boxes.
whan the form is run some of the text boxes end up with a pale yellow background.
That color is what I nedd to get rid of

I found the incon on the left side..
I see nothing in the properties dialog to indicate a back or foreground color
It does not happen with all fields..
Where can I assure myself of what color will.
I see this effect when I preview and when I upload and run on server.
Thanks jerry
