Maybe it's a good idea to have a thread with peoples wishlist for Dynamic HTML Editor?

I'll start it of.

#I for one would like to be able to set the border colors for every border
(Left border will be blue, right border will be red and so on.)

#I would also like to be able to change the border styles.
(for example dotted border, inset, outset, groove, dashed and so on.)

#When starting the program I would like to be able to immediately choose the option to open a project.
(I see the options: Create a new page using template, New blank page, Open an existing page and so on.)

#When creating a label I would like it when the font wasn't automatically set to Verdana but to Arial which is more used than Verdana).

#I would like it if there were a pop-up screen where I could choose special characters and the abillity to use a keyboard combination to quickly insert them. I can do that now for some special characters but the system has some issues.
(Like for example ?, ?, work good but ? doesn't work good and so on.)

#I would like to be able to have a little fold down menu so I can choose in which browser I want to view the current page.
Now I can select one browser and that's it. I can set another browser but than that one would be the only selection).

ADDED:
#When inserting an image have it always open in it's original size. (Now one has to hold down the shift key to open it in it's original size.)

ADDED:
#When changing an id name you get a pop-up window asking "Update all references to this object?". Could there be an option in the program settings that stops it from asking this and just doing it?
Because if I have a lot of ID's on one page I want to change I get this everytime I change an ID and that tends to get annoying and time consuming.

ADDED
The abillity to add superscript or subscript to a part of the text would be something I would like to see.

That's it for now[2 H:)]

Keep up the good work Davide!

Martin

@golfsailor

Check the "Web Picture" extension ;-)
golfsailor Posted - 13 Apr 2012 : 21:41:38
Tried to use pictures on my web server and wanted the img tag to be something like <img src=http://mywebsite.com/pictures/pic_1.png>

Load the picture works fine but saves always in the files directory. (with the new naem).

If you can make this option available it's a nice step to be able to make nice HTML emails too.

Hi anima3,

I have just put in the main section an explanation of how to enable ADJUSTABLE LINE SPACING. I hope my amateur explanation is understandable.

Hi Davide,
Is it possible to have an 'export' or 'fast export' button on the top toolbar please?

The next version of D.H.E. will permit people to create custom Plugins so it will be very simple to create a new control with the "H" tag management incorporated ;-)

Hello all,

It has been a long time but I am back[2 H:)] and I have a usefull idea for DHE. Instead of having only the option to size text by points the use of H (header) tags [h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6] can be very usefull for SEO (search engine optimization) reasons.
It is not as important as it used to be but for stable high rankings it still has it's use.

Regards,

Martin

Here's something I've wanted for a LONG time...

It would be great to be able to determine the line spacing in the text editor. Sometimes the text looks so.. squeezed. I wish I could add just a bit more space between lines... sigh.

Pretty puh-lease??
konicky Posted - 25 Jan 2009 : 14:23:51
As TOON said, it would be great to have lightbox incorporated in DHE!

I would like to have all those nice jquery effects embedded in DHE.

Oh, and some lightbox variations.

And ..eh.. a lightweight CMS would be nice.

And... if it could make me a capuccino in the morning....

I would like to see an embedded email obfuscator... sure would save me and others from having to modify the generated html.
Martin1 Posted - 13 Nov 2008 : 13:48:54
A zoom feature would be very usefull. I know have to resort to using ColorPic 4.1 just for the zoom option and I use this option a lot.

Martin
Inty Posted - 10 Nov 2008 : 15:05:35
a zoom feature like in samurize software, it's very handy.
Commsman Posted - 16 May 2008 : 15:47:53
It is neat to be able to have other files show up in the project files lists - so I added a text file with some notes. Imagine how I feel now when I double click to,open these files and they open in NOTEPAD aagghh! Why doesn't DHE use the correct allocated system text editor??

Otherwise - love the new version - must register my copy soon.

Spry widgets in the tools.

I have been playing with using them with the editor and it seems like they might not be too hard to add.

A quick sample of them in D-html

The CTRL Key permits you to select an object that is marked as "Visible Edit = Shadow or Hidden"
See the help there is the key list ;-)
T00N Posted - 28 Feb 2007 : 23:02:20
?

I tried it but I don't see any difference using ctrl key???
Martin1 Posted - 28 Feb 2007 : 15:14:19
Man this program is full of secret features;-). Thanks for clearing this one up Davide this really really really helps me a lot!!!

Tip: try to click on it by pressing the CTRL key also ;-)
Martin1 Posted - 27 Feb 2007 : 12:34:56
*BUMP*

I have a new idea for DHE though. I can hide objects and layers when I want to by just choosing:
Visible edit: visible - hidden - shadow

Would it be an idea when hidden or shadow was choosen to have this choise visible in the properties dropdownmenu (you know the one where you can have all objects listed in alfabethical order).

Just place in front of each objects name a small eye (for example blue for shadow and red for hidden).

I use the dropdown menu a lot because when I have an object hidden I can't just click on it so I need to find it in the menu but I hardly ever remember the name of the object so I have to try a lot of them and see which one is hidden.

This would make it easier to find.

In reply to the flash I always use swfobject which can be found here http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/. If you don't want to go for the complicated options it's rather easy to use and implement.

Internet Explorer 7 also acts like Opera ;-)
You must click over Flashs if you want to use them.

The code to use in order to activate them is like the one you sent to me for Opera ;-)
Waldorf Posted - 20 Feb 2007 : 16:59:18
I also reported it, as a bug in Opera!
Not really sure if it is one?
s.dav Posted - 20 Feb 2007 : 08:50:24
After the next version will be released I'll think on this point.
Waldorf Posted - 19 Feb 2007 : 17:01:56
Hi,Davidos

Since version 9, Opera (like Internet Explorer and possibly others in future) requires some plugin, for .swf files!
In Opara (only) [3 :-x] a generic flash item needs to be clicked first, before it's active, or can be used! (mouseover actions etc..)
Putting a < No click-to-activate >directly in the dhwe3x sdript file,or another one, would be very: Opera user friendly [3 ~-)]

Something like this >>>>

var obHTML = '<object ...>' +
  '<param name="URL" value="example.mpeg">'+
  '<embed src="example.mpeg" ...>'+
  '</object>';
//the next line needs to be in an external file
document.write(obHTML);

or

var obHTML = '<object ...>' +
  '<param name="URL" value="example.mpeg">'+
  '<embed src="example.mpeg" ...>'+
  '</object>';
//the next line needs to be in an external file
document.getElementById('containobj').innerHTML = obHTML;

see also: http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/operaStuff/userjs/noclicktoactivate.js

or a Davide (better) custom one, of course
Can he do it??? [2 puppy]

** don't mind the example mpeg, of course

**added**
that's why!!
