When you go to this page
http://home.tiscali.nl/gggev/fahrenkrogbilder3.html

When you look at the image called: Die heilige Stunde (1918)
I gave the image a name inside dhe also an export name so I assumed that it would create a jpg file like it did with the others but it refuses to do so. It keeps creating a png file.

Is this an error in Dynamic HTML Editor?

I knew it would work when I set the export to jpg (I already tried that[2 H:)] ). But I find it strange that it is needed for this image while all the other images are set to auto and don't need any particulary setting to get them exported as jpg files.

There must be a reason for this.
All images used including the one that gives me trouble are in jpg format. So this can't be it.
The size can't also be the problem because I have smaller ones and bigger ones (I am talking about cm not kb) and they all work fine.

Probably you have imported all other images in JPEG format so Dynamic HTML Editor does nothing when exporting. Try to set the export mode to JPEG and let me know if your problem is solved.

Martin,

what you have to do is double click on the image. A proiperties box comes up with three choices. It defaults to the top one (*.png). If you want a jpg, click the radio button below. Remember also to bring up the "other" properties box by pressing F4 or going through the menu, to name your file to make it wasy to find it for editing (if you have lots of stuff on the page) or you get everything called 'picture_1 and upwards sequentially). Also, in the same propertoies box go half way down and thing what name you want the picture exported with (this is different than the box at the top which is to help you in Dynamic HTML Editor). You can either have the file referenced specifically to the page you have created (OK for one off pages but not for menues or logos you want on lots of pages) if so leave it blank (2 red dots are in it) of want it exported for say a menu and each page will reference it, then click in the box and it takes a specific name from the one you gave it in Dynamic HTML Editor at the top of this properties box.

Once you get you head around it DJHE is a lot of fun. www.biathle.co.uk for my updated site (spent hours on those pics in PSP learning how to use masks and layers)

Dynamic HTML Editor will name the file as you want but creates a png when the image size is minor that 300x300 pixels (if it is in automatic export mode). If you want to create a JPG file simply specify the export type to JPEG.
